Jasiel Rivero joins Valencia Basket on a one‑month temporary contract

Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with power forward Jasiel Rivero (2.06m, Havana, 31/10/1993, age 32) for him to join our men’s professional roster on a one‑month contract. The Cuban international big man, a free agent after parting ways this summer with Crvena Zvezda Belgrade — with whom he played in last season’s EuroLeague — joined first‑team training on Monday, August 24 to help reinforce sessions during the absence of players called up by their national teams. He now signs this temporary deal to contribute throughout the preseason and the start of the official campaign.
This will be Jasiel Rivero’s second stint as a taronja player, after spending two seasons at Valencia Basket between 2021 and 2023, appearing in 105 games in the orange jersey with averages of 10.8 points, 4 rebounds and 12.2 PIR. He was named Liga Endesa MVP of the Month twice, in October and December of 2022.
